Inase Ren

Based in Soka City, Inase Ren is a group of true Awa Odori enthusiasts who perform at a variety of events throughout the year.

Our members range in age from three years old to their seventies. United by our motto, “Iki and Inase”—embodying the stylish, spirited charm of traditional Edo culture—we devote ourselves to practicing and perfecting our performance.

Rooted in the authentic Awa Odori traditions of Tokushima, our performances combine Inase Ren’s distinctive musical style with the polished skills of our experienced dancers and the lively energy of our younger members, creating performances that move and inspire audiences.

Over the years, Inase Ren has received numerous awards. Last year, we were honored with the Tokushima Governor’s Award at the Minami-Koshigaya Awa Odori and the Grand Prize at the National Awa Odori Contest in Tokushima, the birthplace of Awa Odori.

Now in our 26th year, and having celebrated more than a quarter-century together, we continue our journey with the goal of becoming a Ren that will carry on for 100 years.

We hope you enjoy the vibrant spirit and performance of Inase Ren!
