Asakusa's only regular rakugo theater, known as the comedy hall of the downtown area.
Asakusa Engei Hall is one of Tokyo's "regular Rakugo theaters" along with Suzumoto Engei Hall in Ueno, Shinjuku Suehirotei, and Ikebukuro Engei Hall.
In addition to rakugo, manzai (comic monologue), comic storytelling, magic, acrobatics, paper cutting, ikebana, impersonation, and comedy are performed 365 days a year.
